Personal Assistant to Chief Executive Officer

Dineo Maluleka is an accomplished professional with over five years of experience serving as the Personal Assistant to the CEO of Great North Business Incubator (GNBI). In this role, she plays an integral part in supporting strategic initiatives that empower both youth and women through entrepreneurship. Dineo’s professional scope extends beyond the typical responsibilities of a personal assistant; she is deeply involved in event coordination, stakeholder management, and facilitating high-impact international educational programs. These programs are specifically designed to elevate the managerial skills of entrepreneurs and corporate leaders, further positioning GNBI as a key player in the realm of business development.

Precious Maluleka: Expertise in Agricultural Development and Sustainable Farming Practices

Precious Maluleka is a seasoned agricultural professional with extensive experience in agricultural production, training, and project management. She currently holds the position of Agricultural Project Officer at Great North Business Incubator (GNBI), where she plays a pivotal role in providing agricultural advice, demonstrating efficient farming methods, and organizing impactful information sessions for farmers. Precious has a strong academic foundation, holding a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Plant Production) and an Honors qualification in Agronomy from the University of Limpopo. She also completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching (PGCE) from Stadio, specializing in Agricultural Science and Natural Science. To further enhance her skills in managing complex agricultural projects, she is currently pursuing a Project Management qualification with the University of South Africa (Unisa). In her current role at GNBI, Precious is responsible for engaging stakeholders, fostering business networks, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.

Rethabile Motaung: Brand and communications officer

Rethabile Motaung is a dedicated young professional, with a strong commitment to advocating for mental health and entrepreneurship. She holds a National Diploma in Public Relations and Communications Management from the University of Johannesburg. Her academic journey was marked by a significant achievement in 2020 when, alongside a group of five students, she received the New Generations Award for the best student campaign. This accolade highlighted her proficiency in creative strategy and campaign execution. Rethabile’s professional journey includes valuable experience as a communications officer at SARH, an NPO focused on making a positive impact in the community. With over three years of experience in PR and communications, she has been involved in prestigious projects such as the launch of MTV Shuga Down South Season 3 for Paramount Africa, The Summer Cup with 4Racing—the largest horse racing event in Johannesburg—and various blood drives with the South African National Blood Service. Her innovative approach and unwavering dedication ensure that she consistently delivers high-quality work, making her a valuable asset in any professional setting.

Emelda Mothapo: GNBI Admin officer

Emelda is currently an integral part of the Great North Business Incubator (GNBI), where she serves as an Admin Officer. In this role, she plays a vital role in managing the organization’s day-to-day administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth running of operations, and supporting the wider team in achieving their goals. Her role requires her to be detail-oriented, organized, and efficient, as she handles everything from scheduling, communication, and documentation, to managing databases and coordinating office logistics. Her work helps maintain a structured environment, enabling GNBI to focus on its mission of fostering entrepreneurship and community development.

Before assuming her current position, Emelda worked as a Community Development Officer within the same organization. This role marked a significant chapter in her career, where she was responsible for driving projects that positively impacted the social, economic, and environmental well-being of local communities. One of her primary focuses in this role was on garden projects—initiatives designed to foster community involvement while promoting sustainability and food security. Emelda’s work involved developing and implementing community garden programs, which allowed local residents to grow their own food, learn valuable agricultural skills, and foster a sense of ownership and pride in their communities. 

Emelda’s role as a Community Development Officer required her to work closely with local government bodies, non-profit organizations, and community members. She collaborated with these stakeholders to address local needs, such as food scarcity and unemployment, while promoting environmental sustainability. Her work extended beyond simply implementing projects—Emelda facilitated community engagement by organizing meetings, workshops, and training sessions. Through these efforts, she ensured that community members were actively involved in the development and execution of projects that impacted their lives.
